Seahorse tank???

Please help me. I have no idea what is going on. Seahorse #1 is sick or something. She has gotten extremely big. Her belly is very large and white. I believe it started yesterday or the day before. I was working the past 2 days and my girlfriend saw it yesterday and called to tell me about it. i was going to go to the LFS to ask the gentleman about it but he was closed today. Anyways, She was extremely sluggish today and just hanging around the bottom of the tank. As the day has gone on, it has gotten worse. She will no longer move if the snails come up to her. She just lets them pass over. Seahorse #2 couldn't be better, besides the fact that he has been by #1's side all day except 1 or 2 times to ride in the bubbles. I have no idea what is going on. Water is in perfect condition. What could it be??

Can you post pictures please.
What is the temp on the tank. drop it to 68 degrees
If you have a 10 gal go ahead and set it up and get the temp down.

Unfortunately, seahorse #1 has passed away. Seahorse #2 has been in the corner of the tank for the last 2 hours with her tail curled around seahorse #1.

I'm so sorry to hear this. It's touching how they seem like they're mourning their tank mates this way. Like Teresa said...how is the second one doing?

So sorry!
Horses do seem to have a unity with each other that I have never seen in any other fish. If the other one ends up being ok. I would def. get her a friend!

The second seahorse was doing pretty well. You could tell that she wasn't happy so my girlfiend went out and got her a friend. We now have a yellow tiger stripe seahorse. I have been trying to attach a photo but have no idea how to do it on this new set-up. But the seahorses are getting along very well. They spend all day together either holding tails or playing in the bubbles. They are doing well together.

I can see a few problems coming up. first, it was never determined what species your orig horses were.
One dies from an unknown illness, now you have added another horse of unknown species.
Horses of differant species and differant sources should not be mixed, especially by someone new to horses.
They can carry pathogins that can effect each other.
Does this tank have a chiller. What temp is it being kept at. lower temps keep bacteria at bay.
How about some more pictures
