Hey Offshore80, thanks for the update and the kind words! 
It is great to hear about early experience and where you end up a few years later. I think it really helps other members. That sort of thing is important in threads like this. But one thing I tend to find is that with authentic posts, the person writing usually says something like "I read that I could do that" or "the LFS said I could do it" and then they (sometimes not always eagerly) hear other opinions...eventually they may come around and want to save money and animals, but sometimes not. Those folks are often out of the hobby in short order.
I truly hope that if Joshua is for real, that he is out there reading things and learning...and I am sure we'll answer when he wants to truly know how to help his animals.
