Does anyone know what this is or how to treat? It looks like peeling skin directly to the side of his pouch.

Hi...

Go to a site called seahorse.org. Those people are seahorse experts. It looks like a viral infection to me (I am not expert), if seahorses are not kept in water at least 74 degrees or lower, it causes problems for them. At seahorse.org they can tell you for certain what it is, and how to treat it. Keep us informed of how things go, we really do care.

That's a most likely a bacterial infection...drop the tank temp to 68*F to slow it down, and treat in a hospital tank with Furan 2.
