No they eat other things like coepods and zooplaknton. And they shoulnd not be fed only brine shrimp as brine have very low nutrition. Their main food is coepods so if you have LS and LR then they are probably eating those.

If you enrich your brine that would be better but if you decide to try seahorses try and get some that are already feeding on frozen mysis shrimp! deuce Seahorses in such a large tank would be a bad idea, first because in such a large tank seahorses would be extremly hard to feed, second because the need for circulation in a reef tank is great and seahorses are poor swimmers they would probably, if your reef would have circulation like mine, get blown around, lastly seahorses need hitching posts and in a reef tank they would likely hitch on to corals and gorgonians which wouldd be harmful for the inverts!

You can feed you seahorses forzen mysis or ghost shrimp depneding on there size. A 300 gallon tank might be to big for any small sea horses. I would suggest if you are going to put sea horses in a 300 gallon tank that you feed them frozen mysis. I have a 20 gallon tank for sea horses and i feed them frozen mysis and ghost shrimp. You will have to feed them with a turkey baster in a tank that size or they will never eat. If you want sea horses try a smaller tank.
