Seahorses

I would really like to try keeping sea horses. I have a couple other salt tanks for about one and half years I have had them running smoothly. I just wanted to know if anyone knew any good pointers on seahorses.
The tank I plan on putting them in is a 29 hex. I have alot of live rock and sand already. I am going to begin cycling any day now because I hope to have the cycle done with by christmas break from college. So I can watch the seahorses progress really well with out school.
Thank You
Sarah:)

I am not an expert on seahorses, but I would strongly advise you not to buy them.
They are very hard to keep and on top of that many are endangered in the wild.
If you do decide to get one make sure you look for a captive bred seahorse. Also get a lot of information about how to feed and care for them.
You might get more advice if you post in the Reef forum.
Good luck!

seahorse.org is a good one as stated. I used that when we thought about it. They are a lot of work, but if that is what you want to get into, they are cool creatures. Also do a search on
a user Sheree she (in my opinion) is an expert on them. She has, I think, a couple of generations of them. You will also see some cool pics on her postings. With our crazy life, I knew we couldn't devote the time they need. Maybe someday.:D Several others on this board have them too. I was just given Sheree 's name to reference when I posted the question. good luck let us know how you do. :)

Thank You for your responses I am in the process of doing alot of research. I am trying to ask all of the questions I would to ask. I am not planning to start the tank intill later December. So that gives me alot of time to read.
Thank You
Sarah :)
