Glad you had some good news today and happy to hear your meds are kicking in properly...modern medicine can be amazing! Sure it also made your sons day when he had a chance to talk with you and hopefully you can narrow the mileage gap between the two of you.

the calcium reduction treatments are causing him pain( its forcing the calcium from his bloodstream back to his bones) so its causing him pain i'm glad he got the good painkillers because his mobility is sooooo much better when he's not hurting ... and he isnt so cranky

I need to be careful with my words here, but...... Have you tried the route taken by most patients in other countries, where certain medicinal uses of a certain herbal nature is allowed? Actually, it's allowed or (decriminalized) in many states in the U.S. now. I'm NOT starting a "stoner" thread (PLEASE MODS?!) My stepmom died with 17 tumors in her brain and countless in her body. I know that it works for pain and nausea (and certain psychological issues as well) If you haven't tried it and you want to truly relax and enjoy your "downtime", get a prescription if you can. It shouldn't be too difficult, depending on which state you live in. I'm not sure about where you live. I really hope this doesn't upset anybody. If it does, just delete it. I don't want to hear any grief.

i would have to move to new mexico to get medicinal but i have been open about this on the boards when i was down to 140 lbs and looked like a dude in auswitz and i got scared i used it for appetite and it worked it got me back to 170lbs. which i felt a lot better and i do not think of that as a drug that's what the government calls it but i can't think of one death associated with it unlike alcohol and if i need to i know where to get it...tobin

Nice to hear from you and it's nice that you're doing ok.
Tobin, it seems like you've been having a tough time of late. Don't give in to this **** disease. Your son needs you and, even if it doesn't seem like it today, that situation will reconcile over time. You'll be around to watch your son grow up and have kids of his own. Don't let this thing beat you.
Oops... just realized that this thread is old.
