You need to calm down with all the posts mate. Just do some research and don't ask everything that comes to your head. That being said omnivores and herbivores will eat (nori) seaweed. You can buy seaweed from a japanese store, or at some fish stores. Is it dead
If you are just trolling the forums with all these posts, please stop.
Lol, by is it dead or alive i mean that do they sell live ones too, not just dead nori? Also, what do omnivore fish eg blue tang eat for meat. If a fish eats corals, is it a carnivore or a herbivore? So I mean basically is coral "meat" or "plant"
Most fish don't just eat corals except parrotfish (they have to file down their beak.) A blue tang would eat mysis, Frozen prepared food, pellets (if you're lucky), fresh food. All nori that you buy from a store is going to be dead because it is clipped off of a root so it can grow back.
also for clarification, corals are of the animal kingdom, they don't contain cell walls.
Aka meat...
There are live alga's that you can buy, that fish think are tasty. Ulva, Cheatomorpia (not typical but my rabbit fish ate this stuff like spaghetti) Halimeda Algae, and so many more. but the easiest to find in Norri, just make sure its the unsalted dried kind.

Whoah. I get to tell Bang Guy something...
Plant cells have cell walls surrounding their cells, which are rigid. Animal cells have cell membranes, which are flimsy. That is why plants retain water better, the water gets trapped. Don't worry if you don't know, you probably learned it in like 5th grade biology
OK fair enough, I stand corrected! I was definately wrong. I would mention that saltwater macroalgae does not have cell walls either but then they are not plants.
