seeded rock from lfs?

i got some seeded live rock from my lfs that was in their display tanks that have been there for a long time. do i have to do anythign to it before adding it to my tank?

Has you LFS claimed that their LR is cured? Some people will say to quarentine anything you put into your tank but I would just add mine because MY LFS water and my tank water are one in the same..

no problem with LR unless its out of the water for an extended amount of time or has a ton of sponges on them. since it was part of their display tank I would assume that it is fully cured and ready to go. just keep an eye on your levels to be sure.

i have added it before when i first started my tank, but that was before i got fish so i just wanted to make sure it was safe. they have had that tank set up forever so im sure its fine just didnt knwo if there was certain procedure i had to go though since i have established tank myself?

nah it will be fine just keep an eye on your levels to be sure but I dont foresee any problems with just throwing it into the tank as is.
