I purchased powerheads with the controller for my 1100 and 1500 for my 90G reef. The powerheads are awesome, really strong wide disbursed flow, built well and don't use that much power. However when I use the controller they make allot of noise when they go from low to high. I dont know if it is the controller or the power heads. But they make the grinding noise most power heads make the 1st second you turn them on. I only used the controller for a few weeks. Does anyone else have this issue? Or has anyone heard of this issue with these products?

I would definately do 2 1500s. I have 2 1100s on my 55 and they aren't quite enough...
