I've got a zoomed pH sweeping on each side.
They've been going fine for about 1 yr.+
Every 3-4 months (when they seem to slow down)
just scrub them.. soak them overnight in
1/2 lemon juice & 1/2 FW...Rinse... so far they're as good as new! (optional: pop the top and separate parts before soaking)
;)

I took a rio PH and connect 1/2 inch pvc tubing going the lenth my tank and stacked my live rock around it. Drill staggered small holes in the PVC and cap the end helps keep detetruis off rocks.

i was thinking about purchasing a Zoo-Med sweeping powerhead, but now that I heard all these complaints, i'm guessin i'm better off without getting one.

ZooMed sweeping powerheads
Great idea - Poor design
Give that marketing guy a raise, and fire the design engineer.
They got my money - but won't get any more <img src="graemlins//yell.gif" border="0" alt="[yell]" />
Dollar for dollar I get better results using MaxiJets
