Im a senior in highschool and Im thinking about a senior trip, like a cruise to maybe the bahamas with some friends.
How much is the average cruise? Ive been looking it up online but im having trouble finding some prices and plus opinions from people who have gone on one is always nice.
thanks

LoL u said "senior cruise" and I thought of a bunch of SENIORS on a cruise.... as in.... people over 65. LoL.
go through a travel agent; friends of mine went on their honeymoon a few weeks ago and paid 150bucks per person for a 7day cruise to the bahamas; it's the off-season right now, so things r supercheap, and travel agents have access to the best deals.

When I was a kid a cruise would have sounded great but as an adult with all the crap that has gone on on cruise ships in the last few years I don't know if there is any way in hell I would let my kid do one. I would be ready for resistance from the parents but maybe not.
There are trips set up specifically for graduations

ive been on 8 cruises only one i didnt like.
funny that one was to hawaii, the islands were awesome but it was more like a senior cruise .i mean the old folk type.
all the rest were in or around the virgin islands awesome times.
cant go wrong on any of them.just get a room with a port hole or you will sleep till noon in the inside cabins.

When my daughter graduated highschool in 2007 we went on a Bahamas cruise. My husband, me, my son, and her. It was a nice family vacation. We live in South Florida and I think it is cheaper for us since we do not have to fly or drive in. The Bahamas was a Carnival cruise.
I also cruised with Royal Carribean to Mexico and the Keys a few years back with my best friend.
That one was a lot better cruise ship than the Carnival one.
The Carnival one was very afforadable though. It was like only 3 or 4 hundred dollars per person. The only problem I had that when we booked, the agent did not tell us that the weekend we went it was Labor Day in the Bahamas and many of the stores were closed. The straw market in Nassau was open and that was a plus. If you do that one I would definitely do the excursion where you go snorkeling with the Stingrays! I believe it was the one on Blackbeards Island. It also included food and we got to stay in the water with them for like 2 hours.

The ticket includes the room and meals. You have to pay extra for beverages like soft drinks and alcohol. They will offer you a drink card you can purchase.
On the carnival cruise I payed my gratuities ahead of time and it was included in my price.
Definitely upgrade and get a porthole. You can negotiate with any agent and get them to throw in upgrades. Tell them you spoke with another cruise line and are comparing amenities.

A good secret for Cruise ships is to get a cabin on a lower level towards the back. If you get in rough seas, you will feel it the least there.
