I got the eggs on December 2nd. They all hatched within a week of that. So approximately 40 days old.

How long have you kept octos alive? Around here everyone i know whos tried to keep them went through them like potatoe chips.

My O. briareus has been with me 1 year exactly as of today. Waiting to get a young specimen and proper husbandry goes a long ways.

That would be it's 5th set of arms. They remain withdrawn into pockets on the sides of its mouth and lunge out to snag prey. They are about twice as long as its body.
