seting up my tank

hey i need some help.. for my 125 gallon (6x2) tank i want to know how thick the sand should be

depends on how you want it to look
i would go with 4-6 inches

Personal preference. I am not crazy about a 5-6 sand bed. My sb is 2inches.

I have been thinking about my reply and thought I should elaborate a bit so as not to give bad advise. There are many threads here that talk about the benefits of a 4-6 DSB. I don't disagree with their arguments entirely. I say 2 inches purely from an aesthetic point of view.

Mine is between 3 and 4 in my 40g and it works for me it is mostly preference .
