setting up a 150 or a 180

I have a Voltain lion and he is about to get to big for his current tank, so in the next month or so i am going to be getting either a 150 or a 180. THis is going to be a completely agressive setup. honestly i have never done a tank like this before so i figured i would ask you all what you would do. I have a big reef so there is no real intrest into makeing it a reef tank. I was think FOWLR to start with with a refugium and a skimmer driven by a mag 24. i was think about puting a few maxi 1200 into the tank for water flow. what other things do you guys think i should do.

Your gonna need very good filtration for an agressive tank(which I'm sure you know). I have a 180g that houses a bamboo shark, yellow stingray, hippo tang, purple tang, and two damsels. It has a wet/dry trickle filter, berlin skimmer(in sump), hang on the back magnum 350, and a regular magnum 350. I'm also getting a fluidized bed filter later on when the fish get a little bigger.

Buy hagen 802's your wasteing your time with the 1200's in that large of a tank. An a huge Wet/Dry filter!

i think i am going to use an external pump for water circulation, then a big skimmer and a refugium. the hagen 802's are a good idea. what other things should i loook it?

a big skimmer and a refugia is a good idea. you might want to use carbon. why not place the lion in the large reef you got????

cause the lion is about a foot long he would devour everything in there. he needs some special aggressive friends.
