Setting up aquarium couple of ?'s

Hello, great site! I have been reading the threads and have a few questions to start. I've had a sw fo tanks in the past, but nothing in the last 8 yrs. My current setup is a 118 OV, reef light 1x400w MH + 2x24w T5HO, Eco-Smart Sump combo, RO/DI unit. I'll try to post a few pictures.... When installing the pluming do I use standard purple primer and cement for all the pvc? On my sump it was suggested I used refugium mud and micro algae plants. I am going to use the plants and some crushed LR. Could I use LS instead of the mud? TY Peace...

Awsome tank. Purple primer and cement are fine. stay away from cc use live sand instead.

I would just use LS in the fuge instead of mud. In one of my tank I used kent fuge sediment or something like that and the other tank I used LS. It doesn't make any difference to me actually.....Good luck with your tank!!!
