Hello,
I am looking to set up a temporary aquarium for 2 snappers. Would like to view and study them for approximately 6 months and then release them back into their natural environment. Can anyone out there please give me some advice on what I would need (tank and equipment) to keep these guys alive and happy.
Any advice would be appreciated

you would need a huge tank to keep 2 bluefish, even for 6 months. they are always on the move, and always hungry. i wouldnt try it. bo

When I say bluefish, I am talking about little baby blues (approx. 4-5 in.)
As far as a huge tank, how huge are we talking.
Getting a tank to hold them is not a problem. I just need information about what size tank I need, size filter, and anything else that would lessen the stress on the fish.
Thanks

if you want to study them then get a very large tank 400+, snappers love to eat. they also need alot of room to swim. they grow fast even in six months...carbon and a skimmer should be on 24/7 since they eat and waste alot..

Also you should NEVER, EVER, EVER release back into the wild any fish that was in captivity. If you do you run the risk of introducing parasites, bacteria, or viruses that could hurt other native fish in the enviroment.
