The only disagreement I have with you is that you could apply that logic to any size tank wether it be 0.1g or 1000g. You can say that it's different, but 1000g compared to a reef is a "nano" reef.
I know nanos are a hot topic of debate (esp the "Under 1 Club") but what wasn't until it became an accepted norm? Aquariums sure were.
I dunno...I guess there's a lot more too this than a simple "try it, whatever happens happens" or "no, it's too small."

It isn't always that it may be too small of a tank, but I don't think the shrimp would be happy at all in there.

i know i cant stop you from doing anything
but im just curiuos as to why u want to do this? you dont see anything wrong with it?
and yes, it is so very very different to have fish in a 1000gal tank (so much living/moving space) than a .1gal tank (no living/moving space)

I'm curious about your auto-topoff system. Could you explain what you plan to do. I also have a .75 and would like to do something like that if it isn't too complex.

I'm purchasing a pre-setup float valve hooked up to a small extension cord. I don't know if I can post the web address here so you'll have to email me for it if interested (just to be safe). It's rated to have a 1/4" sensitivity but people using this same switch say its more sensitive than that.
You plug an air pump into the extenstion cord.
You drill two small holes in the top of a container (I'm thinking of using a 1g jug w/ screw on top) just enough to get the air line in there snug make sure its air tight (seal w/ silicone, make sure the cap is air tight a test run will tell you).
Instert two pieces of air line tubing in the holes w/ at least one going to the bottom of the container.
Hook the air pump up to the one that dosen't have to go to the bottom.
As the float switch turns the air pump on it will pump air into the container and the water will exit through the other piece of air line tubing into the tank via the building pressure because the 2nd air line is the only escape (importance of making everything else air tight). Once the float switch rises enough it will shut off the air pump.
This is in no way my idea, I took somone elses DIY post and on a "large" nano and shrunk it a little. I would also recommend you put a plastic linking valve on both pieces of airline tubing near the cap for easy disconect and maintenance. And a couple of one-way valves.

Its sad when things go so far down hill so fast. I just got a "reported post" email that said they found parts of this thread rude...and after reading thru it I agree. The origional question is a valid concern for this forum. But the resulting comments and remarks are not going to be tolerated. If you feel a sexy in a .75 system is not doable the say so and leave it at that. If you have advice or experience then contribute...but the rude and out of line comments are not needed. If you have something to contribute do so...if not shut up and go elsewhere to bother and annoy hobbyists.
Reef_magic or whatever you call yourself these days...nobody "got" you banned...and once again I had nothing to do with it...my opinion is you and your snide/rude comments need to be removed once and for all.But thats just my opinion.
As for the question at hand...a sexy does not "require" a anonome to survive in aquariums...many people keep them successfully without anenomes. All shrimp are very sinsitive in regard to changes/fluctuations in water chemistry and as mentioned above a small system could be problematic with any type of shrimp. Could one be kept in a .75 gal display? Yes...I suppose it is possible...but its nopt a choice I would support or attempt.
One last thing...all members are encouraged to ask questions and post sincere responses...but flames...rude comments...and attempts to start/prolong arguments will not be tolerated. If you have nothing to contribute...leave!!!!!
