Yea, yellow watchman is what I ordered, my pistol shrimp is a Randall's Pistol Shrimp.

Yes. I've never had one live for very long if they are not placed on their host. The ones that are on their hosts do just fine for a long time.

they will find there own host. no need to place them on it. i doubt that had anything to do with their survival. i have one going on 7 months and she found her own host. she had 2 friends, but with the small tank they were in the water went wacky and they died. nothing to do with a host or not.

i have 2 sexy shrimp! i acclimated them and just droped them in ! they found there own host a frogspawn! and its been almost a year i have had them and pretty sure there a maited pair!

so from what i have learned they will find there own host ! you just have to have good water conditions and a high salinity! mine is at 1.026 and they are doing amazing!

What kind of fish do you have with them? I have a royal grama will they be fish food? (75 gallon tank with lots of lps and an anemone)

i have 2 clowns a fire fish and a royal grama ! trick is to get the sexys befor the royal grama mine now live in my frogspawn witch is huge! and i still see the royal grama giving the sexys a look now and then ! and have seen him try to get them once! and the frog spawn one! i think he learned his lesson!

My royal gramma ate both my sexy shrimp. They leave their host to find food sometimes. It took afew months for them both to get eaten, but they eventually became fish food
