I was going to put my SFE into my reef. I was wondering if anyone else has one in theirs and how safe is it really? Will they snatch and eat smaller fish that may swim by? Snails?

They can eat smaller fish if they caan catch them but think of them a a 400lb blind bull. When they get to be about 2-3 feet in length you will wish he wasnt in there. I took mine back after he got 11" long cause he was like a wrecking ball.

I returned my SFE today,,he was a foot long. Bought him 3 months ago @ 8". He grew quick and was burrowing under LR making it shift position. Traded him for another Tomato clown. Eels are awesome to feed and comical to watch, but in the long run I saw disaster ahead.

Thanks all. I may trade him because he really is getting big.

I have a ghost ribbon eel in my reef, and he doesn't bother anything. He's never knocked anything over, and doesn't dig like my SFE does.
