sfe cleaning

I bought a SFE today, I also have a spotted puffer and a Niger. If the SFE hangs out in and under the rocks all day, how do I clean the CC under the rocks. Do I need to move the rocks once in a while to siphon pooh out? I am planning bi-monthly water changes of about 5%
Where do I get a feeding stick, would a wood kabob stick work?

If you wanted to clean under rock it would probably not be any problem just to lift them up gently and siphon... sfe should be alright. Also a wood skewer would probably be too short... I picked up a small dowel stick (round craft stick) and nailed a little nair into the end of it and use that to put food on the end. Works well for me and my v. lion, porky, purple tang, pearscale butterfly, and sfe... good luck!

Just a reminder, you should upgrade your water changes to at least 10% bi-monthly, or 5% weekly. That figure will have to increase however as they grow and produce more waste. I actually change 5 gal a day in my 125.

Thanks to both of you, the doll rod is a good idea, I have those laying around the house anyway.
I will increase water changes to 5% weekly. So far the SFE seems to like one rock. He swims around and goes in and out of other areas, but always goes back to the same rock. That will make cleaning easier, there are no rocks on top of it.
