SG question

I've been trying to keep my SG at 1.024. This week though, since I've been putzing with my skimmer and actually have it working right (finally), I've had to do one extra top off and I was afraid that that may have put me way low for SG. I measured tonight and it still read between 1.023 and 1.024. Now I'm reading that higher than that would be most desireable. So where do I need to be in my tank. Right now it's FOWLR and inverts...but come this weekend, I'm planning on starting corals (easy ones...zoos, 'shrooms, nothing fancy...)
Thank you!!

Ok, canndo, but I realize that this needs to be done slowly. What if I do a topoff this week yet with salt? Would that be OK? As a side note, I've been going for 1.024 to stay within the parameters of my hydrometer...I think that that's going to be an ongoing question on these boards, don't you? I will work at getting my SG up a little before the weekend, if not, then corals come later...wait again.
Thanks,

I just raised mine from 1.023-1.025. I mixed a bucket to 1.028 and used it for top offs. It took about 6 days to get it raised. Everything is still alive and kicking so I did it right. Good luck Lisa

Is that slow enough? I was thinking of taking it slower than that??

.001 over three days? That seems slow seeing as how it can drop faster than that from evaporation... I raised mine .002 in 6 hours...guess that wasn't slow...but the star stopped flipping over...read and learn.

Hey if it worked for you....GREAT!! I was under the impression that you couldn't go much faster than .001/3 days. And if your star lived and they are pretty iffy when it comes to salinity changes...it guess it is good to go then. Thanks.
