SG question

Norm should be about 1.024 from what I gather. Is 1.028 on the high salty side or the low salty side. It's been too long since college chem class. Should I be concerned? If yes, what should I do. TIA
I have a FOWLS tank.

Thanks for the quick response reef! Is there a formula to figure out how much fresh to add, ie X% will lower SG Xamount? What's the easiest way to figure out how much fresh to add, is what I'm basically asking.

Do small water changes with fresh water to slowly reduce your SG down to around 1.025/26. Dont do huge water changes otherwise it may cause shock.

Maybe do around a 5% water change with fresh water, let it circulate for about an hour, retest your SG and that should give you an idea of how many small water changes you need to do to reduce it.
