Yes and no. Your level changes with the number of posts, but you have to be selected to be a shark (or moderator).

Yes the more posts you do the bigger fish you become, but IMO it means nothing. Even if you post 1000 posts you still can not become a shark just bcause you posted a lot, its the information you give that counts to become a shark.
