That depends on diet, water conditions and habitat....and no, it's not a good idea to place a bottom dwelling shark with an Emperor. Large angels, such as those, are notorious for picking the eyes out of sharks.

when it comes to angels picking at the eyes is it just the larger species or do you have to worry about the dwarfs too. I just wonder becasue We have a coral beauty and I'm not sure to keep it in the 125 or move it over to the 300.

It does vary greatly due to temp, food source, etc. As I have stated previously my female bamboo grew to over 2 feet in less than a years time. The male, who was in the same tank and hatched larger, was WAY behind in growth rate. It is difficult to say exactly but figure on at least 1 1/2 feet by one year. All of mine have been right there.

It could be a gamble. I'd think a coral beauty would be fine with a bamboo but there are no guarantees. You could probably give it a try but just watch things for a couple days to make sure there's no problem. When the shark gets bigger, though, it could try to make a meal of the cb.

I fed mine 3 times a week, spiked with Zoecon. My water temp was a little warm (75-79) and I always fed fresh seafood like scallops, shrimp, squid and clam. The ghost shrimp at this point arent doing anything really for his development. Go to fresh seafood with a multivitiamin and supplement iodine in there somewhere. Shark Formula gelatin cubes are a good source. They make a mess, so be careful. When you feed them, look for the sides to bulge, but not too much. Your animal should almost know when to stop eating by know. What is the size and temp of your tank? This will have an effect on it also.
