That was my point, how do you figure he is a jerk? You don't even know what is going on. I don't mean to speculate that this guy is making sure these sharks go to people with great big tanks, because I don't know, but neither do any of you about the opposite. I don't understand the hostility towards LFS owners that are in the hobby because they love it. THEY LOVE IT! Trust me these people are not making a million bucks off the average idiot off the street. I talk to my fish guy 3 times a week. He loves to sit and discuss fish and how everything works. He loves his job. They have a huge sand shark, he is beautiful and I love him. He follows me (actually everyone) he loves the attention, but he is currently in a tank that is way too small for him. He is probably close to three feet. They are working on making him a larger tank. A customer bought him and he outgrew their tank, so back he came. The kids love him. Would he be happier left in the ocean, absolutely. But you don't have a clue to what the plans are for that fish! And IMO, I don't think you should voice something unless you are sure about it.
Again, JMO, just like you are stating yours. I only have a problem because I find it hard to believe the poster posted the pictures to bash the LFS (could be wrong) I think they did it to share.
Thanks for sharing. It's a beautiful specimen. Hope they move him soon.

too all the shark police
Anyway the lfs owner happens to be a good friend of mine. He has done things with saltwater tanks that I could only hope to do in my life time. Currently he is 28 years old and has one of the biggest pet shops In southern ab. We sat down and had some great canadian beer while we disscused myself putting this shark for all to see and appre. He warned that the amount of people that slamm him for haveing these sharks. I told him no way this site is different. Told him probaly get some great advice on this, or show some people that these things are cool and if you have the money u can have one. This pet store has some of the best trained staff I have ever seen and if they don't know the answer they wont fill your head with bullsh.. They will even come out to your house and help u out when in a jam. Soo to all that have enjoyed seeing these pics of a awsome shark
To those who gave some good advice
and those who think the lfs is a jerk and so am I  (they don't have a middle finger symbol) Anyways this is still the coolest site I have ever found for SWF

here is the price just so he doesn't sell it to a newbie who thinks it would be cool to keep this guy in a 55g and some more great pics

That is a beautiful animal. I still am not a fan of keeping that type of fish in a tank though, but if you're going to do it, do it right.
