No glass. The inside is lined with plywood then a pond liner pad and pond liner. Trying to keep it relatively inexpensive. Right now the stock list is two smoothhounds that I have in another tank. They are about a foot long now. They're going to look like two peas rolling around in a garbage can. I plan on putting in some bottom dwellers(bamboo, epaullette) too.

It will be about 1000 gallons. I will continue to post pictures as progress is made. This weekend is kind of a big push to make some progress.

For circulation/return, I'm using a pan world 200ps (1750gph). I'm hoping this will be enough. I'm making a large wet/dry and will have a 1000 gallon rated fluidized bed filter. At a later date I may add ozone, but I'm not sure. I may just stick with UV. I also have an aqua c ev-2000 skimmer. That turns out to be the most expensive part. It's rated at 2000 gallons. Right now I'm getting ready to place the returns and overflow in the sides of the pond. Then comes the liner. I'm not looking forward to the liner since it's difficult to get to all of the sides of the pond as it almost touches three walls of the room, and weighs 85 pounds. Hopefully I'll have some more progress pictures later this week.

you may want to rethink your return pump,it seem like you may want a higher turnover rate then that?i could be wrong though.may want to look into a sequence barricuda or something.
man that going to be nice,i may do something like that in my basement.have you put any thought into humidity or anything?

I may have to add more circulation, I came by this pump kind of on accident. I have a vent fan in the room with the pump for humidity issues.
