Shark Pond

ive seen bamboos do well in 10feet deep tanks...so 5 feet isnt that bad, he is planning on intense enough lighting to penetrate that deep. ideally, 3 feet tall tank would be the best IMO though. you dont wanna have to put on ur scuba gear to clean ur tank.
I have also. Yes benthic sharks can be kept in tanks that are 5-10 deep without any problems. But these are usually large public aquariums. For a private owned shark pond - it don't need to be that deep - as it will be tougher to the aquarists to clean - without getting into the pond.

All that live rock and sand is going to cost. There is a much cheaper way. Get mostly play sand from homedepot, then mix live sand in. The benifical bacteria of live sand mixes with play sand, and it is a lot cheaper that way. You may also consider DIY rock to make cool caves, then add some live rock around it. Just some cheap DIY stuff you could do.

if you do rock, put it in the direct center, and leave the edges bare...most of bottom dwellers like to cruise along the sides.

yeah that would be my plan kind built like an island in the middle of the pond bc i know the rays like a nice sand bed and so do most of the sharks

black tips and stuff are not really ment to be kept...especially in small ponds. maby a bamboo kitten (cat) shark, but thats aboutit. or maby rays like they said. i almost got a shark once btu then i thought about all the rock, salt, and sand i would ahve to buy. plus there very hard to keep
there deadly to copper. ther food ucuh be saltwater fish, dipped in freshwater. lots of stuff you need to study before getting anything

You have the room in your house for such a huge shark tank ? I agree with not housing black tip and white tip sharks. Why do people want to do something wild as that when it's impossible to do so. Crazy and niave ...

It's not totaly impossible, just requires knowledgable shark keepers who have the money to invest in such an undergoing. Trust me, there are people out there with that large of systems.

Yeah - Blacktip & whitetip Reefs as well as any other requiems are what I tend to consider -

Sharks. Because on those few aquarists that have shark tanks/lagoons the size of large Swimming pools are up to the task of keeping these sharks.
