Hey man, any word on the dates of the "expedition". If the invite is still open to anyone I'm gettin kind of antsy here. If the trip isnt open, is it possible to land a specimen from ya?

Sorry, just got back from vacation and still a bit lazy. The trip will be from June 25 through July 8. This is when I have made the arrangements for lodging and is the best time to target sharpies. If you are seriously interested email me and I can give you the specifics of where I'll be and what piers I'll be hitting. From my last report it seems they are starting to catch a ton of very small sharpie pups (eight to twelve inches)! I am getting very anxious myself but will manage to keep busy getting the collection tanks prepared and cycling my transport and holding filters. :D :D

How lucky can one man be in a lifetime. After a few emails and many phone calls I was offered the services of a chartered boat for the time I'll be collecting! The captain is facinated by my shark pool and has many tanks himself. He is an expert on the local waters and has promised to put me on both bonnets and sharpies. Sometimes life throws you a bone!

Nice, it sounds better all the time. Unfortunately, I wont be going. The regional rep for Ford is coming to hold my Ford Masters certification ceremony the week youre gone. It is the highest honor Ford can bestowe on a tech so I think I should probably be there. Wait...sharks...job...sharks, the job has to win this one! I need to start curbing my addiction
Anyway, how about for a present you send me a bonnet and we call it even???

Hey, come on you're putting work ahead of the hobby, what's wrong with you. I guess some just don't have their priorities straight! All seriousness aside, I just might have to consider collecting a few extra for certain folks. We'll have to work out transporting later. Too bad you are unable to go but work has to come first. The joy of co-owning your own business is that you can take extended vacation and you'll only hear half the s--t from the boss!

Seriously though, if you can work it out with me to bring a 10-14" bonnet back e-mail me to get the details (delivery, equipment, fees, etc.).
