question numero dos i went to an lfs today and say a baracudda <<< donno if i spelled it right...but anyways i saw it housed with a bamboo shark in the same tank...i dont kno how big the tank was really but if i had to guess it was 7 to 8 feet...i dont kno much about a baracuda but wouldnt the cuda be agressive towards the shark sorry if i sound dumb just was wondering if that was a wise idea for them...
Barracuda are open water fish and should not be in the home aquarium . Even in large public aquariums they are in small tanks. They can grow up to 6 feet . Just the body shape shows they are built to dash through the water like a torpedo.

Both angels and triggers are bad choices for a shark tank mate . Clown triggers are know to be overly aggressive with other triggers, And triggers are known to nip at bottom dwelling sharks . Puffers are another fish that are not a good pick. An eel of equal size would be a good choice possibly some damsels or a fox face .

el guapo just told you that angels and triggers are bad tankmates for sharks, so the first two species on your list are not ok.
groupers and tangs will be fine , batfish are too sensitve imo for a shark tank.

Bat fish are to timed to be in with aggressive feeders . Groupers and tangs are ok . I would stay away from the more aggressive tangs though just to be safe . Groupers are ok as long as you pick the right ones . They can be quiet aggressive when its feeding time making it hard to feed the shark. They can also grow extremely large. Eels are good tank mates as would a Cortez ray .

no need to apologize dude, ask anything you want. im just confirming what el guapo said so you don't get confused.
IMO with a shark you should just do a couple different types of tangs. keep it simple but the tangs will give you alot of movement and color.

No. It's very common to have sharks and rays in the same tank . Contrary to the stereo type of "shark" cat shark's are actually very docile . Their not going to duke it out with any even remotely close to the same size they are .

mmk thanks i just didnt want to seem dumb even though i might be for going with a shark =D and i think either u or el guapo said less agressive tangs what would that be considered? and thanks to both of you i might have a kick butt tank without having a reef for once

You will probably have greater success with the ray than with a shark . The get about the size of a dinner platter . They will actually come to the top of the tank to feed .

so i have another question to ask well maybe 2...would a marine betta be ok its part of the grouper family but i trust u 2 guys with answers...
n 2 i kno its off topic but my girlfriend has a tank also and she was wondering if in her tank its about 220 i think... but she wanted to kno could she house a french angel and a queen angel together with some tangs? (all in the same tank obviously lol) because i've read on sites and asked around and they said they might duke it out to the death but obviously tangs can be the same way correct me if im wrong on some of them atleast...so would they be okay together? i ask because the lfs said it would be a perfect match...im a little curious as if it will work but anyways they did have both in the same tank so am i just typing to much and answering my own question?

The MArine Betta should be fine its just the larger groupers like Panthers and bumble bee's that can be rough to deal with . As far as the Angel question goes . I can't really say . I have never kept larger angels . I have had success with the small angles with more than one in a tank. CCAMPBELL could probably answer this better .
