very nice looking fish,im glad the hand feeding worked out for you.I find it much more adaptable with hand feeding my fish also.they do seam to know who feeds them and cares for them.if my kids walk by my tanks the fish dont seam to care but if I walk by they all come running(swimming) to the front as if they do recognize me as their caregiver.the longer I am in this hobby the more i realize these fish do have ther own indevidual personalities .not all instinctive but created by surroundings as well.as time goes by its easy to see these fish do have emotions and feeling and more intelligents that most people dont ever get to see.

I know what you mean. My man did all the feeding at the beginning. They definitely knew who the man was. He is letting me do the hand feeding and now they follow me around. What is real cool is that I can basically submurge my hands in the tank and they know it isn't food. Not to say I don't watch them while I'm cleaning, but they haven't made any attempt to come after me. They hate the scraper. There is a line of yellow on it and they go nuts nipping at it, but not coming anywhere near my arms or hands.
