Sheesh, knew this would happen

Ok, I knew this was bound to happen, I was hoping it wouldn't, but it did. We added a flowerpot coral to our reef tank last week, and our percula clown has decided (just today after a week of ignoring it) that he loves it, loves it forever, never leave it, etc. This is obviously stressing out the flowerpot. I've been avoiding adding an anemone to the tank since they're short lived, can be dangerous...etc. Forget getting the clown out of this rock filled tank. Any ideas?

Try getting the flowerpot out first and take him to a quarantine tank if available. You can house him in a 10g tank (Usually under $15) from your LFS till you can catch the fish. You might have to decide either or situation.
Getting flowerpot recovered will always allow you to trade him back to LFS if you decide to do so.

the flower pot is probably going to die on you because they are a very delicate coral and do not have a long life in a tank. even under the best conditions they die off fairly soon. keep the fish and return the coral before it is too late
