shell change?

My little blue leg just moved into an empty shell. It looks to me like he isn't moving nearly as fast as he used to....I'm worried that he picked a shell that is too big and won't be able to get to food quickly enough. Should I provide a smaller shell?

I would put a couple of different shell sizes in there for him. That way he will chose a size that fits him best.

under dry goods here on SWF.com, you can get 100 empty shells for only $10, so if you dont have enough for your hermits or need different sized ones, that is the best deal ive seen to date.

At the "Dollar Store" in the craft section you can get a big bag of shells for ...well...a "dollar"...
About half, flat/clam type and half "hermit friendly"
Just be sure to wash them before adding to tank.
