so when you filled up your 55 gal the first time you just went and bought 55 gallons of that water??

LOL, no I actually just found out about this thing. Actually I went to local fish store and bought 55 gallons of RO saltwater premixed for $1 per gallon. But either way you should start with RO water.
But you could do that I would think.
I used the 5 gallon orange buckets from home depot they are leak proof
