anybody know how to get stuff (coral, anemones etc)shipped out here to me in hawaii? my back yard is the largest aquarium inthe world, yet it is illegal for me to have(coral, anemones, etc) in my living room. (understandable)....unless it is shipped from the mainland....but getting stuff shipped out here is the other thing.
i want to be legal and not borrow it from mother nature. because then i would ruin my BIG tank. but i really want some, LR, coral, anemones, etc and the only way for that is you guys on the mainland....any ideas????
and no the LFS doesnt carry it.
now in no way am i complaning about where i live. just about the lack of purchasing ability. it is illegal to buy or sell coral etc etc out here.
any ideas, or solutions

THere was a seller on ----. Appeared to me they had some really neat stuff. Crosshatch triggers in mated pairs and the dragon eels too. Selling on that big auction site and they were located in Hawaii.
DO a completed search on ----. Put dragon eel or croshatch trigger in completed auctions search and you should be able to find the seller. He/she can probably help you on how to get stuff from the mainland...as they ship to the mainland. I am curious if overnight shipping is available.

The user id is kilinahe...click on seller search completed option. Bring up an auction and you can click on the ask a seller a question. I was tempted to bid on the crosshatch trigger auction.
Send me an email at superidiot@cox.net if you cannot find it and I will get the info to you.

There is a site called Hawaiian Quality Fish located in Hawaii. They no longer sell so this is not a board violation. THey still advise so perhaps they can assist you.

There is a business in Hawaii that you can look at . They sell fake reef tanks and some absoulutely beautiful set-ups. Probably due to your regulations. Don't think swf.com sells this but it is a local busness on the islands. www.aquariumshawaii.com
That is some beautiful looking set ups. Fake but doesn't it look real?

I forgot to mention...clicked submit before readin...go check out one of their tanks that they have set-up on the islands ..as they have some listed on the site. You can probably do it yourself. Could be easier for you then trying to locate stuff locally or on the mainland given your situation and the regulations.

well i just learned the laws and regulantions almost the hard way. i called a business and was asking questiones and the guy started telling me that he reports people that might have coral, anemones etc and was about to report me and then i told him send'em on out i aint got nothin to hide. wow i got a call i guess he gave some sort of "marine aquarist ploiceman" my # and i talked to the guy........he was way cool about it. i told him to please come out and teach me...he thought that was funny. and i said i was asking so that i didnt break any laws and he respected that. pheww im glad i am in regulations, and man are they tough out here.
so i guess i am stuck with having a really cool tank without corals, and such
but i love the links and JDM_AE86 I will for sure get ahold of you.
