Should I get Live rock or base rock?

I am buying another 50# of rock. I already have 100# of cured live rock in my tank. My question is that I can afford either one but the base rock is 1/2 the price of live rock. What should I do?

base rock, you can brake it up in configurations you like spend less money on the rock and use your savings for other hobby related items

Just got some base rock, 25 lbs, and it seems it was loaded with silica. So I would not put all the rocks at one time. I am dealing with a nasty diatom outbreak.

Did you mean MarcoRocks? I got mine from there, just wondering if its the same thing.
Are you saying Marco rocks are loaded with silica?

Well, I can't find a test for silica anywhere here, so I will have to try to get one online. But, I added the rocks, 25 lbs to a 125, really only change to the tank, and within two days diatom bloom. Got a phosphate/silica sponge, and it seems to start going away today. But, yeah, considering the fast bloom, and it being an only change, I would have to say yes. i got the Key Largo rocks. Once I get the test, I will keep you updated. I really doubt its the bulbs, they are less than 5 month old ATIs.
