Once you're licensed, it's just like opening any business... you can practice law and you hope to make $$$. There are a lot of attorneys who don't make good money. Law practices can fail just like any other business. There's no guarantee. That's the cost of being your own boss... you take the gamble yourself. No security.

Puffer...I was asking Jcrim many of the same questions. There is a thread in the aquarium forum that is titled "Lawyers Roaming SWF." Except, I wanna do criminal defense...I dont wanna be a prosecutor.

Well, Josh, its good to keep your options open, but its also a good idea to have a pretty good idea of what you wanna do early!! But you still got a while to decide! Just like me!!

depends how you want to deal with customers.. real estate you got customers demanding what they want.. lawyer you got customers listening to what options they have..

your right.. you dont start at the top.. if you got me out of a big case..you know i will be your customer until i straighten up..and i will send everyone i know that needs a lawyer your name..just gotta go with your client every month for a few mins.. its the trial that really kills!

Its untrue that you have to go to college for 4 yrs to be wealthy. You just gotta be street smart and try your best. My dad barely passed high school, now he owns his own body shop and lives in a $400,000 house

HAHA same here. My dad now owns a sportstore, pest control business, and he works at lowes (he gets alot of great deals there too)
