Should I remove this now or give it a chance?

I had a problem with my tank this past month and ended up losing quite a few corals. What happened was my filters in my RODI must have went out or something as the TDS shot up without me noticing it. Also, my nitrates had gotten pretty high (around 40-60). I first noticed it when my Xenia started fading. I have since lost all three xenia colonies and my Yellow Leather (which was my favorite). Luckily, none of the fish seem to have been affected.
I believe things are starting to come back around, but I still have a few issues. For one, my zoos haven't opened up in over a week and some are still fading away. Also, I have this other leather that I believe is pretty much dead. I am thinking about pulling and getting rid of it now, before it pollutes the tank any more. I just hate to throw it if it may have a chance on coming back.
I have already built a new sump/refugium to help with the nitrate problem. I am doing quite a few water changes with now clean RODI water.
Look at the pic below and tell me what you think. Should I go ahead and remove it or give it a little more time. I have not noticed any improvement at all over the last week. In fact, it is getting worse. You can also tell in the pic how the zoos are staying closed.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I have a dual TDS meter in line with my RODI unit. Normal TDS in is around 180-200.
Normal out is below 10. Once I realized things were getting bad, my TDS out was reading 145. I used to check it once a week....now I do it daily.

Thanks for the info....I will give it some more time. I hope things will get back to normal soon. I want to get another Yellow Fiji back in there as well as some more Xenia.
Any other advise is well appreciated!!

Here is a pic of what my tank looked like before and what that leather coral looked like.
All the xenia and the Yellow Fiji are gonenow (
)
I mainly wanted you to see that the tank was doing great before hand. I now keep extra filters ready at all times. Once the TDS hits 10, they get changed.

I wouldn't take them out yet, there is still hope. If you can, take the zoos out and do an iodine dip on them, that always seems to work for me, usually open within hrs, just don't use more then a capful in a small container for about 2 to 5 mins. brush polops gently with soft brush, seems to help also especially if you can't take zoos out of your tank.

I doubt that would crash your tank that bad. Tap water isn't really black poison - just tends to cause algae and helps to keep any contaminates out.
Sure all your levels are in balance? Mainly ammonia/trites?
