should I RO/DI or just RO??

I am just setting up a new RO/DI unit and when using it just for my aquarium setup, should I have the water pass through both the ro and di or just one or the other???
I noticed it mentions to just use one for drinking water.
I will not be using this unit for my drinking water...just strictly my tanks.
Thanks

Use both the RO and DI for the tank. The DI will further purify the water. If you were to use it for drinking water then they say to just use the RO.

dzones,
IMO if your'e gonna spring the $$$ for DO it might be worth it to go the extra $$ and get the purest water possible! That's what I'm doing.

ok cool. I kinda thought so. I do have the unit already and decided to get the DI and the faucet and tank since it was so little more. I got the new 5 stage +DI/85gpd/ with 4 gallon tank and faucet for 123.00 shipped. seemed like a pretty good deal to me.
Thanks a lot!!!

useing the DI for drinking water is actuall a costly move the filter will only filter out so much before it needs replaced. and they can get expensive. I would use the RO water for drinking and DI for the tank that way your filters will last a lot longer.

missed that LOL but hey you can run a line over to the sink with a shut off or something similiar for drinking or get a drinking kit later on for it..
makes a huge difference in everything one of the best things I got and now use it for everything LOL

i might consider it but i ran my system a lot like Kip did. I hooked into the washer faucet and ran a "y" from it. I then drilled a hole from my laundry room to my utility room right beside and hung the unit in there. nice and out of the way. but still enough room in there to be nice and functional...cememnt floor just in case of leaks also..mainly cause i know my plumbing skills are pathetic..lol
