Should I suck out the mud in the bottom of the sump?

I have a 150g reef tank with a 30g sump. The sump has alot of mud looking stuff on the bottom. Should I suck out the mud stuff in the bottom of the sump?

I do clean the bottom of my sump periodically. Now that my overflow runs through floss 1st, I don't get as much gunk as before.
