Reefnut, I will run the Phosban through my HOB, it states it should be placed between 2 floss filters. The ones I have are a combination of carbon and floss. Is this Ok or should I remove the carbon. I'm not sure what effects of carbon are on a reef tank. Thanks again!

Carbon is good IMO. I run carbon 1 week per month in both my tanks... more if I'm having problems.
What type of HOB do you have?? Depending on the type of HOB filter you may be able to get a replacement cartridge that you can fill with the PhosBan...

So what is carbon. And what is it's affect on the tank. What do you gain by using it and is carbon the black stuff that i pour into my filters?

Yes it's the "black stuff". Activated carbon will filter out all kinds of chemicals, organics, etc. The main thing is to replace it often... monthly at least.
