should snails go in q-tank?

i won a $20 gift certificate to the lfs, but the lfs sucks! i would not buy a fish from there unless i got it before it went into thier tanks. but what about snails?
i know they don't carry ich (as they can be left in main tank when there is an ich break out) but would they bring in anything else that would harm the tank?

I'm pretty sure the problem with putting snails in your q-tank is if you do get a sick fish that you need to do hypo or copper this could kill the snails. I know this is tru for shrimp, but not absolutly positive about snails. I would not risk it.

get frozen food instead

the frozen brine shrimp we have last forever as it is...plus...the brine shrimp there isn't all the way frozen...we need to re-fill on flake food so i'll do that.
went there today and they had huge snails (ugle huge) for 2.99 each.
whatever i get i'll get a bad deal, but hey it's not my money. I might go with a wrasse...but i'd get it before it hit their tanks...i'm still waiting for more replies on my other post to see if people think my killer perc clown will hurt the wrasse.

According to my aquarium troubleshooting book at home, only fish need to be qt'd. Inverts do not.
