Ok, I got the last set of pics. That's just what I'm getting in my new set up for my seahorse tank...absolutely RO all the way as well. My 46 was set up with well established water, so I can't really advise with what happened in there. BUT, my 37gal was started out with RO...oh about a month ago...that tank is getting the same algae covering on the glass, very muted, but it's there. At this point I'm not worried about it because that also happened in my 46 for a while, but that has cleared to nothing. If you indeed started out with RO, and at this point in your recovery can do your water changes (get better soon!!), then it's just a matter of keeping an eye on your mechanical filtration and changing media as you need to...things will clear. Hoping the best for you Tobin!!
