Should there be light during cycle?

Hey, I just recently dropped cash on alot of stuff for my 90 gallon tank/40 gall long sump, question is im currently cycling my tank been 2 weeks, should I have some photosynthesis set up for my tank? I just wanted to hold off on lights for a bit till i get more money. My friend is selling his 48 wide halides, actinics, moon lights for about 500 dollars with bulbs...... If i need it now ill get it but, if not It would be nice to be able to hold off on lighting for now... any suggestions is cool!

there really isnt any need to have lighting during the cycle, but once you start adding coral, you're going to want them.
