Show off your Acans

Hi All,

I have Acans on the brian right now, and am planning on getting a frag or two in the near future. I was wondering if you Acan owners might share some pictures of your colonies. I would appreciate it.
Relatively speaking, how fast do Acans grow and spread. I have read that they are pretty easy to keep. Just need to give them a little space due to there tenticles. Anyway, I was just wondering how long it takes on average to get a nice looking colony going. Also, where in my tank should I place them regarding light and flow.
Thanks in advance.

Acans like lower-moderate flow and lower-moderate lighting. I have put mine in the bottom of my tank. In regards to how fast they grow it all depends on the tank and feeding. I spot feed mine once a week, while others that are more into acans would suggest 2-3 times a week. I only feed once because i have SPS that need good water quality. They are easy IMO to have, but are expensive for the aussie ones. here are a few pics of mine. they have been growing about a head a month. or less
some pics are relatives of acans and require similar conditions.

If I get a frag or two either mounted to ceramic or live rock, do I need to glue it to another larger rock for them to spread on to, or do they produce their own skeletol base for which they grow on?
By the way, AWESOME PICS, and thank you for posting.
