I would say that if he's the only fish in there you could keep him in a 20 Gallon tank .. that sounds like a good idea

sweet .. that sounds like a great environment for a Fu Manchu .. and I would love to see pix of your volitans .. and I've thought about setting up a reef with nothing but lions before but never tried it .. be sure to start a thread with photos once it gets established

yeah he'd be very happy in there .. and wow your lions look great .. it'll be great when they grow and fill their home up haha .. but they grow really fast so you won't have too long to wait

i just decide instead of setting up a new tank i will put the Fu manchu in my 75 soon to be reef. the tank went through some isues so i recycled it and its been going again for 3 months so he would go with a scopas tank and 2 false percula clowns could i have 2 Fu Manchus in the 75 with the others

exactly .. and I wouldn't mix 2 male Dwarf Lions .. Pteoris Lions would be alright together but not Dwarves .. you might be able to get away with two females though .. and you'd probably be alright with one male and one female

I love the pics!! I am debating on what lion to get to go in my new 105g. I thought I wanted a fuzzy, but after seeing that fu manchu, I can't decide!! Which would be better for my tank? It will be a fowlr, I plan on having some type of lion, coral beauty, maroon clown, a yellow tang, and if its not too much a fairy wrasse or anthias. 5 fish in a 105, with 20g refugium. Would this be ok? Would these fish all get along? What lion would be better, a fuzzy or a fu manchu?

Having owned both, I gotta go with the Fuzzy here...much more personality, much more colorful, and I had a much easier time overall with the Fuzzy. Plus they are a bit smaller which might allow you to keep more/slightly smaller other fish.

Awesome pics everyone.
My 55g is cycling at the moment, but I do plan on adding a dwarf fuzzy to my tank. Though it'll be a while since I want to let the other fish grow out & I've heard lions can be more picky about water quality than others.
