Show size Princess Parrot sleeping habits

I just added a show size - about 12" Princess parrot, I will take pictures of it and post soon, into my 240 gallon aggressive reef tank, I woke up at about 5 in the morning and was looking in the tank. I found the princess parrot asleep in one of the back corners, it had a cocoon built around, some thin membrane surrounding it, has anybody ever heard of this, is this one of their defense mechanisms when they sleep?
