They are one of the coolest sea creatures there are. I hand feed mine all the time. I read somewhere that they recognize people so he wont attack me. He will kill anything I put in his tank, except for one chromis.He must like 1 buddy. Mine is a little bigger than 6 inches. Congradulations on your find and good luck.

he's super fun to watch!! he redesigns his cave all the time. i prob. could hand feed him but i use a stick. he looks at me like he knows me...or he might just think i'm FOOD! LOL

I think you are just lucky because they will snap your fingers. There is a video somewhere on these boards that will show you what they can do to a finger.

My pistol snaps so loud at night that I think the glass is breaking. He loves to venture at night and if he comes across anyone...he shows who's boss!

he's the bestest pet ever!!!! i don't know about them being able to break a glass tank, diablo took a small chip out of his 15gal. while he was hunting ghost shrimp last week!
