AquaC EV240 After about 6 days on 125g. Problem is the drain hole is so low most of it goes into the bottle. Takes about week and a half to get the bottle filled, but the skimmer is long over due for a cleaning by then. As you can see in the pics the tower is skimmate so thick it's like skimpaste, not skimmate

I have it set up so it self siphons, so one the waste reaches the neck in the cup it will automatically drain down into a 1 gallon jug, that way I do not have to constantly take the cup of the skimmer to empty it, which at this point would be to many times a day.
Could I trouble you to outline how you do this and what equipment is used to set up the self siphon?

ehh goes about the same.. Fighting with this rotten Coraline algae.. Its spreading like fire..

The lid to my skimmer cup had holes in it, so I took some air line tubing and stuck it in there until it reached the bottom of the cup when the lid is on, then I ran the other end into a 1 gallon milk jug, I only had to siphon it once to get it going and every since then, once the skim reaches a certain point in the cup it automatically drains itself. See picture below.

everyones skimmate is darker than mine... is that a bad thing? mine is like a alittle darker than mountain dew
