A week ago I recieved five polyps of these zoanthids. I personally dislike zoanthids due to their ability to quickly take over the rockwork and sting the bases of various SPS corals, although these immediatly cought my eye.
Just showing off :)

Graham, I know what you mean about zoos, so you can go ahead and sent those directly to me. I really don't want them, but I want to help you out to get them out of your tank. :D

o wow! i didn't know that.
Will the super orange zoo's that SWF.com sell work under 130
watts of light and are thier any other exotic zoo's that bring alot of color that might work under that kind of light but aren't an arm and a leg?

Thank you all for the compliments. Unfortunately, these won't be leaving my tank anytime soon - these are the only zoanthids which I've come to like :)
Roadrunner,
If you look in the right places, I'm sure you will be able to come across some blue zoanthids. The markets are flooded right now with them. However, they won't come cheap. I've only seen the red skirt morph twice for sale.
Were did you get those?
They were in the back at a local wholesaler here in LA.

Yellow and orange zoanthids from Fiji have amazing coloration. These should do fine under 130 watts of power compacts.
e-mail me, i know a great site with zoos.
Is the owner of the site Anthony Yang by any chance?
Take Care,
Graham

Just a point of interest in regard to a earlier post about colorful zoos under MH lights....the zooanthid multi-rock below was purchased by my nephew on one of my orders from the host here back in the spring. It is a product offered by the host here...and it has been kept under 4x65 watts of PC lights In a 55 gal display. Pretty sweet piece for about $50 in my opinion...and its also my opinion that they appear to be doing real well under less than MH's...granted they may not be the best looking or most colorful around...but they are sweet just the same.

Wow there are some great zoo's around here thats for sure.
I am so excited about my new zoo. I say "zoo" cause I only got one polyp, but it was only fifty cents. The parent colony was $100.
The zoo I got today has a bright orange spot in the center surrounded by solid bright blue. The skirt is flat out red. I have never seen anything quite like it, I hope it makes it!
