Shrimp Cycle

How long do you leave the shrimp in the tank? I put the shrimp's(5) in a bag with wholes in it.(I thought it might help it not to smell) yesterday night at about 9:30. So about how long should I leave it in??? Thanks

I would for about a week.

Also may depend on what size tank you have. I know if you have 75-180 they usually say to put two in for a week but its really up to you.

Yikes thats a lot of dead stuff. Did you add some live rock to the tank. Live rock alone should be enough to get the cycle started. Maybe that and a few pinches of flake food for a few days.
I have never subscribed much to the dead shrimp deal but many here sware by it so it cant be all that bad.

well its 110 gallon tank and they are small shrimp so i figure it really adds up to like 2
